EAW was founded in 2010 by Beth Norford. Beth did her secondary schooling at Woodstock School in India, followed by study at Bryn Mawr College in the U.S. She completed a Master's Degree in education at Bank Street College in New York City and worked as a teacher at the Bank Street School for Children.
